With the purpose of bringing visibility to the needs and injustices suffered by trans gender and transsexual people in Puerto Rico, and in order to achieve sociopolitical changes, we created the Be Visible initiative to support a new generation of trans leaders. Whether in the media, in the legislature, or on the streets, Be Visible is a mentoring initiative to train and empower trans leaders and thus develop a culture of inclusion, affirmation, and above all, protection for people of all expressions and gender identities. We provide media training and support so that trans people can be visible, tell their stories, fight for their rights, and continue to inspire new generations of trans leaders.
